8/9/2026 St Paul will host the Bass Lake Ministry at the Melody Drive-In at 8am CT/9am ET. The children's chat will be centered on Jesus loves you!
St Paul hosted Bass Lake Ministry at Melody Drive In on June 14 and Pastor Fakih's message was “THE HARVEST IS PLENTIFUL SO LET US PRAY TO THE LORD OF THE HARVEST TO SEND LABORERS INTO HIS FIELD!”
Lauren Redlin and Julie Hanus presented the children's message about being brave and courageous in Jesus when life get stormy. The message was from Matthew 14: 22-32. The weather that morning was windy and blustery as the children donned sailors hats and pretended they were Jesus' disciples in the boat on the lake. Chuck Redlin portrayed Jesus by calming the storm and giving us peace.
The children listen as Julie sets the scene for the disciples in the boat on the lake during the storm.
Lauren reads the Bible verses that tell us Jesus is always with us as He calmed the storm on the lake.
The children pretended to be the disciples in the boat and wore sailor hats
The windy, stormy weather helped the children feel the way the disciples must have felt in the boat.
We learn to pray to Jesus to give us courage and strength to make it through life's storms.
Even though bad things happen, we know that Jesus died on the cross to forgive us our sins!
Because He forgives us our sins, we will go to heaven to be with Him forever!
We need to tell everyone about Jesus!
St Paul hosted Bass Lake Ministry at Melody Drive In on June 7 and Pastor Fakih's message was “JESUS WAS DELIVERED UP FOR OUR TRESPASSES AND WAS RAISED FOR OUR JUSTIFICATION!”
Lauren Redlin and Julie Hanus presented the children's message that Jesus is the Good Shepherd and we are His sheep. Shay Kasten brought his lamb Sweet Pea and the children learned that Jesus takes care of us like Shay takes care of Sweet Pea. Shay will soon shear Sweet Pea's wool off and she will look white again. Our hearts get dirty from our sins but Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins. He makes our hearts clean again!
The Sunday School sponsored an Easter Egg hunt after the Easter breakfast in the basement. A fun time was had by all!
We celebrate the Festival of Pentecost as the fulfillment and conclusion of the Easter season. The name Pentecost, meaning “the fiftieth day" refers to the completion of the 50-day period after Easter—and the first in-gathering of believers into the Church. We recall how a humble fisherman, filled with the Spirit, boldly proclaimed Jesus Christ crucified and risen from the dead. We give thanks for the gift of the Spirit, sent by God the Father. And by His Son, Jesus Christ, the Spirit came to continue the Father’s work on earth.
The children of St Paul presented a program called C-H-R-I-S-T-M-A-S on Christmas Eve in which the children displayed a sign for each letter of the word Christmas while the speaker read the word phrase and the matching Bible verse. The congregation sang hymns that corresponded to that letter and the children pantomimed the hymn "Away in a Manger." The service closed with candlelight and the singing of "Silent Night, Holy Night." Food, fun and fellowship followed in the church basement as the congregation visited and wished each other a Merry Christmas.
We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries.
We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. You're prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you. Many blessings to you,
Reverend Mark Fakih
